  • Today I updated WordPress’s browser test for emoji support & I’ve been apprehensive since. A fairy ?‍♂️ (which replaced a rainbow flag ?️‍?) was replaced with something I don’t associate with being LGBT and it bothers me.

  • Apart from infants, it’s very hard to find ungendered silhouette of a person. Trying to work out if that’s actually the case & on the providers or on me for seeing male by default.

  • A high number of @HamiltonMusical NYC tix went back on sale on @Ticketmaster‘s premium service during the verified fan period. TM want to *look* like they’re stopping scalping, if they wanted to *stop* it they’d block verified fan tickets from resale on their own service.

  • In general, though, Broadway ticket sales are broken. It doesn’t help that Ticketmaster is conflicted by selling on the secondary market and taking coin from scalpers. That’s a big player with little motivation to fix it.

  • This year I decided to lean in on the Broadway nerd thing. I’ve since learnt about scalping algorithms; ticket allocation juggling between broadway.com (approx 25% fees) & the primary reseller (much lower fees). Much better at getting list price & paying the artist.
