In general, though, Broadway ticket sales are broken. It doesn’t help that Ticketmaster is conflicted by selling on the secondary market and taking coin from scalpers. That’s a big player with little motivation to fix it.

This year I decided to lean in on the Broadway nerd thing. I’ve since learnt about scalping algorithms; ticket allocation juggling between broadway.com (approx 25% fees) & the primary reseller (much lower fees). Much better at getting list price & paying the artist.
