  • Checking Salt Lake City tour dates for Hamilton the Musical. Ooh, I recognise the Fairy (Male) test in the HTML header. ?‍♂️

  • In general, though, Broadway ticket sales are broken. It doesn’t help that Ticketmaster is conflicted by selling on the secondary market and taking coin from scalpers. That’s a big player with little motivation to fix it.

  • This year I decided to lean in on the Broadway nerd thing. I’ve since learnt about scalping algorithms; ticket allocation juggling between broadway.com (approx 25% fees) & the primary reseller (much lower fees). Much better at getting list price & paying the artist.

  • One of my highlights of 2017 is seeing thought leaders use the same techniques for both their woke signalling and for bullying and organising pile-ons of lower profile industry peers.

  • Block enterprise sites with WordPress

  • Get in touch if you’ve replaced WordPress’s wp-cron system with a proper cron system, especially if you’ve hacked core to do so. I wanna know what you did to make writing plugins easier.

  • Have vague plans to head back to NYC after @loopconf to see @dearevanhansen again, this time with my partner in tow. Hoping to put together a few web types to come with & see Taylor Trensch play the poor kid.
