  • I’ve been using a GitHub action at work to check the common PHP and readme headers match in WordPress plugins. I’m using it on ten or so plugins and finding it very helpful. https://gist.github.com/peterwilsoncc/f677c5c401f896ee7fef668e72b06cd0

  • Now the cat has been introduced to the vacuum, I’ve moved it out of the laundry for storage so it’s not looming over the kitty litter like a clown in the gutter.

  • First time vacuuming with the cat in the house. I tried explaining she’d want to go upstairs when I started but she wouldn’t listen. I put her on the stairs and started cleaning. She learnt very quickly and I didn’t have to ask her to go downstairs when I went to do upstairs.

  • “Hey Siri, play New York New York” Random NY based radio station starts playing.

  • Should I just give up and alias `commmit`, `svn pull` and `git up`? Then there’s `npm commit` and `git run`…

  • This answers some of the questions about Gimlet that have come to me in the Bon Appétit series’ narration. That Reply All have allowed these to come up (they’re professionals) makes me wonder if they’ll address it. But I don’t want to hear from Gimlet.

I want to hear the un-Gimlet-edited views of some of the Black & Brown people who have left the company on bad terms. Ideally via another media organization and licensed by Gimlet for unedited broadcast in the Reply All feed.

  • Current status: remembering how to set up for Zoom dinner party with @thewebprincess

  • Why do people put white-arse chicken in the oven when Paprika exists for the exceedingly lazy? I’m thinking of making a simple honey and mustard marinade while at lunch but probably won’t because I’m… You can see where this is going.

  • For reasons, I just noticed that this URL for an 2007 article in The Age still works. The URL scheme has completely changed but it still redirects because they’ve embraced the attitude good URL never die. It’s dandy. http://www.theage.com.au/news/web/goodbye-information-superhighway/2007/08/02/1185648044623.html

The current URL scheme is much shorter and nowhere near as weird.
